The third 2025 Remploy webinar, held on Monday 26th of May, has been organised by the University of Milano Bicocca, titled "Tra profit e no profit: voci dai mondi del lavoro pedagogico" (translated: Between profit and no profit: Voices from the worlds of pedagogical work).
After the Principal Investigator Professor Vanna Boffo (University of Florence) opened the session, Professor Laura Formenti (University of Milano Bicocca) took off with the presentation of the research on university and world of work transitions. It introduced, indeed, some perspectives owned by students, Professors and stakeholders of the third sector.
The unit research from the University of Milano Bicocca, has conducted a series of focus groups based on the cooperative inquiry approach and semi-structured interviews, questioning to intervieews various research questions which wonder about who the pedagogist profile is, which competences it plays, what perceptions stakeholders have about the transitions from university to the world of work, and who has the responsibility to improve the employability process in pedagogical graduates.
Around this topic, Dott. Gabriel Greggio and Dott.ssa Silvia Luraschi (University of Milano Bicocca) presented some insights of the first results gathered together with the local research unity. The voices of students remark the effect of the opportunity given by the personal reflection which, through three different meetings, highlighted the diverse perception those people assumed about themselves and their future profession. It was given emphasis to the strong need of recognition, and the necessity to focus on the pedagogical role of professionists, who need structure and definition of a certain position, in a sector where the complexity of cases and the high need of taking care of someone is elevate. Moreover, the effects of the sharing experience, where students became co-researchers, if at the beginning made emerge a sense of uncertainty, at the end came up a clearer vision regarding the possible role they could have covered, in sinthony with their aspirations and the market possible demands.
These aspects, underline the necessity of having a riflessive organisation trend, and to break those glasses which keep pedagogical sector professionists inside a undefined and old image of actions spectrum.
With the dialogue of constructive sharing and reflection, the research can bring high standard of solutions, which deserve attention and further development, for the growth and wellbeing of everyone, from institutions and the whole community.
